Jeffri Lyn Wutz (Jeffi for short) grew up in Pittsburgh, PA. The love of horses began early; she began riding Western at the age of 9 and expanded to english pleasure from the ages of 12-17. Just like many other young girls, Jeffi had aspirations of growing up and having a career she could be proud of and enjoy, and this aspiration led her to pursue a degree in Biochemistry from Seton Hill University in Greensburg, PA. Amid studying her tail off, she discovered a true passion on the SHU Equestrian Team (IHSA).
Upon graduating from college and relocating to Nashville, Jeffi spent her days managing a Neuroscience Lab at Vanderbilt University, but spent her evenings and weekends training and showing in dressage and galloping through wide-open spaces on her Egyptian Arabian, Midnite Tserenade.
Jeffi chose to leave Vanderbilt in 2007 and her ultimate dream reached its fruition on Sept 1, 2010 with the grand opening of “The Green Barn” in Franklin, TN. While running her boarding facility, Jeffi expanded her business to include off-site farm sitting. In 2023, she temporarily closed the Green Barn to boarders to focus on No Worries Pet and Farm Sitting.
She is married to her incredible husband Brian, and is a momma to 3 amazing “tween” kiddos. Together with her family, Jeffi is thrilled to announce the grand RE-OPENING of the Green Barn on September 1, 2026 – and is every bit as excited as she was 16 years ago!
