At the Green Barn, we believe in the “green” approach to horse care. Horses, like humans, perform best in their natural habitats, with excellent nutrition and health care. We recommend our incredible vet, Dr. Marc Smith of Natchez Trace Veterinary Services, who utilizes the strengths of both Eastern and Western veterinary medicine and offers treatment options like acupuncture, Eastern herbology and food therapy. Although medical intervention is often necessary and welcomed, we try our best to use all-natural and holistic approaches to suit our horses needs when possible.
The Green Barn respects and values the environment we and our horses call home; we do our best to recycle and reduce our waste whenever and however we can. Check out our organically grown carrot patch, fertilized with our very own “homemade” compost! The horses love it!
